Your recordings

What happens to your recording

Short version: we do not save your recordings. No video is uploaded, no audio is stored, and nothing is ever shared with a firm or seen by a human. Here is exactly what happens, step by step, including the one part that does leave your device.

Your video never leaves your browser

When you hit record, the video is held in your browser's memory so you can play it back straight away. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else. The moment you retake the question or navigate away, it is thrown away. There is no copy on any server, because it was never sent to one.

Your audio is transcribed once, then discarded

To mark what you actually said, we need words rather than sound. So the audio track alone is sent once to a speech-to-text service (OpenAI's transcription API) and comes back as text. We do not write that audio to a database, a file, or storage of any kind. It passes through memory and is gone. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent this way is not used to train their models.

Eye contact is measured on your device

The eye-contact score is calculated by a model running inside your browser, looking at the camera feed locally. No frames, images or video are sent anywhere for this. Only the final number, such as 86 percent, is used in your feedback.

What we do keep

Your transcript and your scores, so you can review your own answers and track progress over time. That is text and numbers attached to your account, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Never the recording itself.

Why we are this specific

Plenty of tools say “your data is safe” and leave it there. We would rather tell you the one thing that does go off your device (the audio, for transcription) than make a vaguer promise that sounds better. If any of this changes, this page changes with it.
